Field Notes: I was so hyped to join the film club and really wanted to shoot more on film. I hadn’t in a long time just brought my camera around and taken photos of what I came across. This month I realized I had drifted from that side of photography because it took me the whole month to get through the roll! In the end I ended up shooting a lot of things that I love from around my house. I’d like to one day fix things up around here, but I also love celebrating the charm the house already has. Its sorta meditation mentality just appreciating the years its already been around and the things that grow in the yard, carpet floors, wood walls and all that good stuff its like a living energy that is already so beautiful to me. When I got the film back I was super excited that I had finished the assignment. My new years resolution is to follow through on creative endeavors. So this is a cool reminder that i’m on my way, just sometimes it takes me a little more time. Im already planning stuff to go further with the concept of next month so im grateful that January got the juices flowing again!
