Field Notes: For the "Day In The Life" assignment, I wanted to capture something outside of what my own daily life looks like. I have a friend, Tayler, who is a crazy talented artist. She makes pottery from start to finish, sources the clay from local artists and craftsmen, and uses her talent to teach others through classes and community events. Truly a gem of a human in every way. For this assignment, I wanted to capture a day in her life. Spending a day in her studio, learning about different compounds, clay sources, spinning techniques and so on, I feel I was able to capture a true sequence of the ceramics process. One that I was able to capture just a glimpse of, and she is able to experience every day.
