Field Notes: When starting this film club, the main goal was to keep up with friends through creativity. I love the idea of using an analog medium to keep up with people. To me social media is so instant, and analog is more process driven. When going about choosing what to do for “A Day In The Life” I wanted to catch up with one of my oldest and closest friends, Captain Kenny Kirby. He’s a commercial fisherman, and he’s always out at sea for weeks at a time working. Here we caught up on his newly restored boat, The Menehune.  The Menehune was his dad’s boat, when Joe passed years back, he passed on the boat to Kenny, as well as his love for fishing. Even when Kenny isn’t fishing for work, he’s fishing for fun. To me that embodied what this club is all about. So I went out for the day with Ken and Max to take some photos and catch some fish.
