Camera: Canon EOS 3 (50mm)
Field Notes: With the prompt being “red” this month I wanted to use colored filters. I had shot with a red filter and B + W film a long time ago. I thought it would be a fun way to go again and try for more contrasts, and shadows.
I double stacked the filters with a ND filter that I have trying to trick the camera so I could shoot my exposures much more open. Shooting on a Canon Eos 3, 50 mm lens I thought I had it dialed, however came across a lot of troubles.
My focus was haven’t a lot of trouble grabbing, then my shutter was sticking. I only got 12 exposures back on the roll. Ha! The last time I pulled that camera body out was probably a decade ago. Anyway it was fun to get out and about and have another fun month shooting film.
Turns out the red filter changes the complexion of faces a lot which I didn’t know. Has anyone shot with an ND and a colored filter before? Is that redundant? Always fun learning.
