Field Notes: I really love this camera club. Last month it was more of a fun idea to keep up with friends through film photography. And now I’ve found that this film club has been re-inspiring me to be more creative. Every month I choose a subject out of a hat at random, and this month the subject was “red.” Honestly I had no idea how to approach this. While returning some film at Treehouse on Oahu, I came across a Lomography disposable camera with Lomo-Turquoise. A film emulation that turns the color blue into red! I took this camera around Waikiki and on a hike while I was home visiting family and friends this winter. I am so hyped on how it turned out, and I would have never picked up that film stock or camera if it wasn’t for this assignment/subject of “red.” I love seeing how everyone approaches each subject, and seeing what everyone was up to this past month! You all rock, mahalo nui.
