Camera: Nikon Tele-Touch

Field Notes: Feb was a funny one. Both cameras I would’ve normally grabbed had half-shot rolls in ‘em already. Couldn’t bring myself to rush thru ‘em or pull prematurely, so without any grand plans I grabbed the closest thing I could find—a Nikon Tele-Touch. A point-and-shoot straight outta 1986 with two built-in focal lengths options: 38mm or 65mm. Clean, but cheap and hilariously clunky. The best part about this camera? The slow, mechanical “zzsshhhhhhht” noises it makes any time it does even the smallest task. Not my usual cup of chamomile, but certainly a much-needed lesson in going with the flow. I think my favorite thing about this month was feeling my brain shift into color-hunting mode. Only had one rule: no stop signs. A humbling exercise in patience and pressing that shutter button firmly. That’s film, baby. C'est la vie.
